It is just that whoever poured the slab did so with obviously no intentions of ever finishing the basement as usable space. The water in that corner would have to be a couple inches deep before it would be high enough to start making its way over to the drain. Speaking of floors, I think we are still waiting to see someone else's floors! :) We actually have a drain!
