The job is never done on time or on budget. I don't see how anyone in the contracting profession stays in business. The profession overall has a negative reputation! If you find a good one, keep him/her!!!!!!! In fact, instead of hiring a contractor, we decided to do it ALL ourself! I just don't feel like micromanaging one more person who is supposed to be a professional and is supposed to be EARNING my money. :-) They never show up when they say, they never call — they expect you to call them.
