Sooo, do you unplug your fridge every time you want to make some toast and soften up the stick of butter accidentally left in the freezer? :)

Thankfully we don't trip breakers often in our house. Most of the outlets have been moved onto separate circuits. I think all but the kitchen and basement bathroom lights are still on one circuit though.

Haha...I started laughing when I read "I swear half the house was on one circuit", but was definitely cackling at the description of the concrete grinder and the too late advice from nice tool rental dude.....why can't things just be a little bit easier? I mean, we should get pats on the back and help from some divine influence when restoring old houses, right? :-) Speaking of wiring, half our house WAS on one circuit. We realized that the first time we tripped a breaker and half the house was dark....yup, that was fun! We are still working on the kitchen...everything in there is one one circuit and we have learned not to use the toaster, fridge and microwave at the same time :-) Glad you got some things done.

Parents are great indeed. Except now I feel like I haven't gotten a single thing done since then!

Wow, that's a ton of progress. Parents are great, aren't they? :)

I've never had need for a concrete grinder but now I know to use water if I do! Thanks for the tip.
